Privacy
FinOps LLM collects information you choose to send by email or through booking flows, plus basic site analytics. FinOps LLM is the data controller for that data; reach us at hello@finopsllm.com.
After you consent via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized page-view data (page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, device type; IP addresses are anonymized by GA4), and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity sets cookies and captures usage data (such as clicks, scrolling, and pages viewed); by default it masks sensitive content such as form inputs. This data is processed by Microsoft in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Neither analytics tool loads until you accept — decline, or use , to opt out. You can also use your browser's "Do Not Track" / global privacy control settings or block cookies.
For audit work, the default scope is read-only billing and usage metadata. Prompt and output content is not required for baseline attribution and is only reviewed with explicit approval for a specific optimization.

What we collect and why
- Information you send us — your email address and whatever you put in the message when you contact us or book a call. Used to reply and to run the engagement; nothing else.
- Site analytics — the anonymized page-view and usage data described above, collected only after you accept the cookie banner. Used to understand which pages are read.
- Engagement data — for customers, the billing and usage metadata needed for the audit, under the terms of the separate written agreement that governs it.
Legal basis
- Analytics and session replay — your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
- Replying to you and running an engagement — performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Security and records we are required to keep — our legitimate interests and our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(f) and (c)).
Cookies
Nothing but the first cookie below is set until you accept.
finops_consent— strictly necessary, set by us for 12 months to remember whether you accepted or rejected. Set whichever you choose; without it we'd have to ask on every page._ga,_ga_*— Google Analytics 4, up to 2 years, aggregate traffic measurement. Only after you accept._clck,_clsk,CLID,MUID,ANONCHK,SM— Microsoft Clarity, from one session up to 1 year, heatmaps and session replay. Only after you accept.
International transfers
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are operated by companies in the United States, so accepting analytics cookies means your website usage data is transferred outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with each provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Engagement data is stored in the region agreed with you; where that is outside the EEA, the Standard Contractual Clauses in our DPA apply. Email us for a copy of the safeguards.
How long we keep it
Contact emails are retained while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Analytics data follows the retention settings of the providers named above — GA4 retains event data for 14 months and Clarity retains recordings for 30 days. Customer engagement data is retained for the term set in the engagement agreement and deleted on request at the end of it.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. The analytics processors named above receive site usage data; email is handled by our email provider. Customer engagement data is not shared with third parties without written instruction, except where a law requires disclosure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Requests go to hello@finopsllm.com and are answered within a month.
Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing clears the analytics cookies already on your device and stops further collection; it does not affect anything collected beforehand.
Complaints. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in the EU, the authority where you live or work (list of authorities); in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
This site is operated from the European Union and is not directed at children. If this policy changes materially, the updated version is published here.
